Dialogue and Engagement Forum discussion, during the 2022 International Women’s Day

In March 2022, Zambia joined the rest of the world in commemorating the International Women’s Day (IWD) which falls on 8 March. The Zambia National Womens Lobby (ZNWL) was part of the organisations in the country that commemorated this significant event by hosting a dialogue and engagement forum for women leaders from different sectors. This event was held in partnership with FES Zambia Office. The dialogue and engagement forum was held to discuss the theme of the 2022 IWD which is, “Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow”. The dialogue and engagement forum provided an opportunity for women leaders to actively participate in the IWD and exchange ideas on the theme. The focus of the dialogue and engagement forum was on discussing gender equality efforts that can sustain gender equality in future. Stakeholders who attended the dialogue included civil society organisations, the media and key Government institutions like the Department of Gender. The Dialogue and engagement forum for women leaders from different sectors was held during the IWD week and this year, it was on the 10th March,2022.
