Youth Leadership Development Programme (YLDP)

The collaboration with young leaders should be intensified. Therefore, the Youth Leadership Development Programme (YLDP) is designed to enhance leadership capacities of emerging youth leaders by equipping them with a unique set of skills required to better achieve their aspirations and fulfil their desired role in society. It is a deliberate non-partisan project reflecting political pluralism and pluralistic societies through promoting the core ideas and values of social democracy - freedom, justice and solidarity.

The Objectives of the YLDP are:

• To develop a cadre of future political and social leaders from different political persuasions and different walks of life.
• To provide young, aspiring leaders with essential leadership skills including cognitive skills and factual knowledge on issues of local and international politics and economics as well as increased consciousness regarding the consequences of own actions and inactions.
• To promote the core values of social justice and democracy.
