50th anniversary of FES Zambia in 2018 In 2018, the FES Zambia celebrates its 50<sup>th</sup> anniversary, having been promoting the core ideas and values of social democracy in Zambia since 1968. In 2018, the FES Zambia celebrates its 50th anniversary. Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung opened its first office in Zambia in the mid-sixties, shortly after independence, and has since then pursued its vision to promote the core ideas and values of social democracy in Zambia – freedom, justice and solidarity. Due to this meaningful anniversary, our foundation is planning to have a celebration during the course of the year. Further information will follow. Photo: J.H.
